Saw them while I was clearing away the junk piled on my work table. I forgot to bring them with me for Art in the Park. Since I wasn’t able to document the stuff I brought there, well, these two will do for now. Anyway, the stuff I brought there were artworks based on alter egos and lucid dreams.
Most of us have alter egos and we all experience lucid dreaming.

Subconscious
rubbercut
I mentioned earlier it took some time for me to pick up my carving set and work on some rubbercut prints. Since there’ll be a show this coming thursday, which is Jan 19, I thought why not work on it? And voila! I made 3 rubber cut prints.
Works from:
Pergy Acuña, Isabel Afable, Aldy Aguirre, Fran Alvarez, Zeus Bascon, Anjo Bolarda, Raf Banzuela, Peewee Bisnon, Vermont Coronel, Celina de Guzman, Yas Doctor, Nina Garcia, Ramona Gaston, Clarissa Gonzalez, Rommel Joson, Gigi Lapid, Veronica Laurel, Jacob Lindo, Hannah Liongoren, Quiccs Maiquez, Kat Medina, Isa Natividad, Maki Navarrete, Ak Ocol, Carina Santos, Bru Sim, Gabriel Tiongson, Brian Vallesteros, Chalk Zaldivar and Tof Zapanta
Show opens on Jan 19 and will run until the 4th of Feb.
It took months for me to open that jar of air-dry clay which I received as a birthday gift.
Thank goodness, the clay is still in good condition and that gave me the chance to play and fun with the material. I remember I used to play with my father’s modeling clay and I would randomly stick my works in the house. Shaping the air-dry clay is a bit different from the modeling clay; aside from using water to make the material even more malleable. It’s sticky and definitely messy but I didn’t mind because it’s just fun shaping the clay. I’ve always wanted to come up with something 3D. I’ll give papier-mache a shot, too. I hope one day I can work with different types of clay as well as create big works using different materials.

Will clean the edges as soon as they dry a bit.
So tonight, I will watch a random Kung fu flick, draw, read a book, and play with clay. :D
